Progress (yay)

I'm hoping that it will only be a few weeks until I return to my Classicrockchick persona

I had been thinking that Electrochick might endure. But I'm getting better.

ECT number 10 is on Tuesday. Next review is Thursday.

I've had enough to demonstrate that ECT is something that works for me (yay), and so worth continuing with (as there's a lot more progress to go).

Apparently I'm chatty - I have conversations now. Hubby tells me my peak is about 48 hours after each treatment (which might be because I have a huge f*ckoff headache 'till then lol, and some confusion).

If anyone is searching for info about ECT, I hope you find this and see that it can be a successful effective treatment. And worth a try.

I hope you will stick with this blog for several months after your last treat as many of the side effects don't present themselves for several months after the completion of ECT. Many people stop their blogs before they have become aware of these side effects then the readers are left with believing ECT was successful. Most everyone becomes depressed after only a month or two after their last treatment, plus they are left with pretty severe memory loss. If this happens to you, you owe it to your readers so they can make an accurate assessment should they comtemplate having ECT in the future.

  I wasn't aware that some effects don't show themselves for some time after ECT. And this is the problem isn't it. People like myself and others having to Google "ECT" to get information about what's going to happen to them. It really shouldn't be that way - but sadly it is.
  
  My Electrochick blog has been in existance for ages anyway because of the bipolar, so I don't think I'll actually close it.
  
  Memory loss has certainly been an issue for me, along with some confusion - both of which are more pronounced with each ECT. And honestly? This is my first positive post since I started having ECT
  
  I do appreciate the info you've given me here. I hadn't heard it from anywhere else - so thank you for that.

sod the memory loss some memories are worth loseing if you get your chattyness back-and zest for life

we all get depressed chick

you will get **low** days its normal-- so im told

but you'll be stronger to cope with it next time

  Yep - we all get low days - whether we're 'well' or not.
  
  But as you say, the difference in the future will be that I'll be fighting them from a position of strength. Not from a position of weakness like I usually am.
  
  Working to be happy when you're clinically depressed is monumentally hard.
