Dr said this morning, that once we get to this many ECT's that the maximum benefit has probably been reached.

Which is not what she said last week.

The agreement is that I have 2 more (tomorrow and Tuesday), then stop and plan for discharge, monitoring if I go up or down in the following weeks.

If I get worse, then I'll be put on maintenance ECT.

I'm disappointed. And I'm worried I'll be 'abandoned' by them (it wouldn't be the first time).

I'm sorry you're feeling disappointed, but I think you'll look back on this "reprieve" from the shocks as a good idea. Don't want too much all at once.

BTW, just to let you know, I'm taking a break from zap. Too many crazy people. ;-)

Hi Memzoo - nice to see you here :)

It's a couple of days on since I wrote this post and I'm thinking you're right. I feel like I could do with a break from it all now. So whatever happens in the review on Thursday, I'm not going to have anymore after the one tomorrow.

But I am wondering how I would access ect again if I needed it later - 'cos it has helped - but I'm not there yet.

Pop in again :)

I really think you made good decisions all around. I've popped into zap a couple of times just to see how you were doing, since you weren't blogging for a bit there. Now I know that you were taking a break from zap, too. Another good decision!
